Giving Is Heaven’s Key,
Revelation Reveals The Door &
Obeying God's Voice Turns The Knob

To truly open the gates of God’s storehouse, we must change our perception of giving and rediscover its origin and purpose.

Giving, in any form or measure, is not about obligation; it is about recognition and obedience when God prompts your heart. It is the covenant act that aligns your actions with God’s eternal promises. The tithe was never designed as a tax or ritual; it was birthed in revelation when Abram recognised Christ (God’s Spirit) in Melchizedek.

When you understand the deeper purpose of giving: its origin in God’s covenant, its power to dethrone mammon, and its role in consecrating your heart as God’s treasure house, you step into the mystery that unlocks heaven’s abundance.

Are You Ready To Finally Unlock The Secret?

When you give in response to God's voice, It becomes the secret key to heaven’s storehouse, opening the windows of heaven to pour out blessing, provision, and inheritance in overflowing measure upon you as the giver.

In Fact, Giving, is a testimony that you believe God's covenant with you to be true And you bless Him because you trust in Him

This is NOT:

It IS about discovering how;

So which covenant do we believe, to be true? Did you know that voluntary giving predates the law of moses?

To understand this, let’s look at what transpired with Melchisedek and why this is so important for us today.

God’s Commissioning of Abram

When God first spoke to Abram, He asked him to leave behind everything familiar and walk toward a promise he could not yet see. 📖 Genesis 12:1, “The Lord had said to Abram, ‘Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.’”

In that moment, Abram was not only given a command, he was also entrusted with a destiny. God’s commissioning carried a sevenfold blessing:📖 Genesis 12:2-3, “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you, I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing, I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse, And all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”

This was more than a promise of prosperity. It was a spiritual impartation. Abram’s spirit was aligned with God’s eternal plan, and that alignment gave him the sensitivity to recognise the incarnation of God’s Spirit when Melchizedek appeared later on.

🔑 Recognition of Christ in Melchizedek

When Melchizedek blessed Abram, the words echoed the same commissioning and blessing voice: 📖 Genesis 14:19, “Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth and praise be to God Most High, who delivered your enemies into your hand.

Abram recognised the same Spirit that had called him out of his father’s house. His tithe was not a ritual. It was a blessing given in recognition of the promise: “I will bless those who bless you”

💎 Why This Matters for Us

Just as Abram was commissioned, so are we. 📖 John 15:16, “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit.”

We are called out of the world’s systems, given promises, and aligned to God’s eternal plan through a covenant He made with Us, through Himself, sealed in Christ.  That commissioning prepares us to discern Christ in unexpected places and people.

Giving becomes the act that confirms recognition. It is the moment we say: “I hear God speaking to me and I see Christ in this person. I acknowledge His Identity as a Son of God”.

The Mystery Revealed

Genesis 14:18-20, “Then Melchizedek, king of Salem, brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High, and he blessed Abram… Then Abram gave him a tenth of everything.”

Bread and Wine; the same symbols Jesus would later lift at the Last Supper. This was no coincidence. It was a prophetic shadow of Christ’s covenant meal.

  • Bread: Christ’s body, broken for eternal sonship.
  • Wine: Christ’s blood, sealing the everlasting covenant of restoration.

Christ as Fulfilment
Hebrews reveals that Jesus is the priest forever after the order of Melchizedek. He offers bread and wine, His body and blood, sealing the everlasting covenant.

Hebrews 9:15, “Christ is the mediator of a new covenant… that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance.”

When Abram gave a tenth of everything to Melchisedek, he did a very profound thing. He blessed Christ at this point, and through the act, he blessed his seed, his offspring, which is us , with a tenth of everything.

This is richly symbolic as everything means everything; it wasn’t just about money.  The number 10 signifies completeness, fullness of God’s law and plan and reflecting harmony between heaven and earth.

Let’s look at this harmony; God through Melchisedek (heaven) first come to Abram (earth) and then Abram (earth) gives a tenth of everything to heaven (Melchisedek/Christ).  The tithing here was a shadow of thanksgiving to God who Gave Himself, through Christ, for our restoration into sonship.

Why This Matters for Us:  Fulfilment in Christ

When Abram gave it was not a mandated transaction but in reverence of the God inside Melchisedek and Faith (trust) in the manifestation of God’s promises.

Which promise? The promise God gave Abram that is fulfilled in us. Hebrews 2:16, for surely it is not the angels He helps but Abraham’s descendants. “The promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed… that Seed is Christ.” (Galatians 3:16) and Christ in us, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27), therefore, you belong to Christ,  you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise (Galatians 3:29).

Directly after this event, God made a covenant with Abram. This is our seal, the irrevocable guarantee that binds God, unable to change His mind (because reneging on a covenant means death, and God cannot die). This covenant is our foundation of trusting God unwaveringly and giving with a cheerful heart, knowing that we will be blessed.

Our giving today is in participation of Christ’s eternal covenant of eternal inheritance, to which we have access.

The Secret Of The Covenant Revealed

Everything Abram experienced, commissioning, recognition, giving and blessings, was leading to this moment.

The Abrahamic covenant expands every covenant that came before it and embraces every covenant that follows. It is the covenant of all covenants. The covenant of faith and obedience.

This is the covenant that stands: eternal life. 📖 John 17:3, “Now this is eternal life: that they know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.”

🔟 Abram gave a tenth, but God gave Himself.
👑 Abram recognised Melchizedek; we recognise Christ.
🕊️ Abram aligned by faith;  we align by sonship

Abram is called the Father of all who believe. 📖 Romans 4:3, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness” 📖 Genesis 15:6, Psalms 106:31, Hebrews 11, 8-19. His faith was tested and perfected as he progressed from faith to faith,  proven by an unquestioning obedience to God’s voice. 📖 Genesis 22:18, 26:5, Hebrews 11:8, James 2 v 20-24.

The covenant is not sustained by man’s strength; it is upheld by God’s indestructible life. It can never be annulled,📖 Galatians 3:15-17. God Himself walked through the covenant sacrifice while Abram slept. Why? Because if Abram had walked through, he would have died. So God made a covenant with Himself, swearing by His own life, and in doing so guaranteeing our eternal life.

💎 Why This Matters for Us

God came to Abram first. The blessing was already spoken before Abram ever gave. But Abram had to act in faith to confirm what was promised. He trusted God as his reward, even when the temptation of Sodom offered him riches. 📖 Hebrews 11:8, “By faith Abraham, when called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going.”

Our giving today, flowing from our heart and hands towards Christ, the Spirit of God, present in the other, is us participating in this eternal covenantal promise that was made.

However, many of us today wait for God to come to us before we move. Yet the mystery is, that God already came, we don’t necessarily always remember this. Therefor the blessing is unlocked after we step out in faith, not knowing the full plan of where we are going. This is called operating in authority that was given to us. Giving is a spiritual tool to help you learn to walk by faith and not by sight 2 Corinthians 5:7.📖

Obeying God's Voice Unlocks the Blessings In Return

📖 Genesis 22:16–18 reminds us that blessing flows through obedience: “By Myself have I sworn… blessing I will bless you… because you have obeyed My voice.”

✝️ Paul echoes this in 📖 Romans 8:14: “For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.”

🤲 Giving is not simply about judging who appears to be in need. True sonship means responding to the Spirit’s prompting, even when it challenges our perceptions.

💡 Sometimes God may lead us to give to the poor, but He may also instruct us to give to the wealthy, because His purpose is greater than our human reasoning.

💰 For example, a rich man may temporarily be in need and ask God for R1000 as a sign that God sees him, and in turn, his faith is stirred to give abundantly.

✨ Giving is a tool of maturing in sonship. It trains us to hear God’s voice and to walk according to the Spirit, not by sight or by our judgment. Human reasoning is part of the carnal mind, and we know that the carnal mind is in enmity against the things of God 📖 Romans 8:7.

🤲 When we give by obedience, we step out of human judgment and into divine partnership with God. Jesus is our example; he did not operate from the carnal mind but told us  📖 John 5:9, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise”.

🌟 Living this way transforms giving from charity into living from the covenant and in the blessings that God promised us. Your life then becomes a living testimony that God Himself directs provision and blessings.

💎 Why This Matters for Us

Learning to discern and follow the Father’s voice in every act of manifesting God’s love is the practice of sonship. When we give in obedience to His prompting, we step into the maturity of sons and daughters who live by faith.

So, what is it that makes us debate opening our hands and not giving as God prompts? What gives us the lack mentality? What makes us distrust God that He won’t provide abundantly for us, what makes us feel undeserving or neglected?

It is called Mammon. It is the system of the human world, the god of materialism, the carnal mind that resists God. The carnal mind that makes you believe that God’s promises are not true for you. And we get tested with this every day, just like Abram was tempted by the King of Sodom directly after his ‘tithe’.

Trusting God or Serving Mammon

📖 Genesis 14:21,“I will give you all the spoils of war if you give me the people.”

Bera, the king of Sodom, translates as “son of evil, king of burning” can you see the picture of human nature, the world’s system, everything opposed to God’s nature?

Bera has just lost some of his people in tar pits during this war and even for him it’s more important to have people than riches.

But Abram refuses to trade souls for silver. 📖 Genesis 14:22–23 records his oath: I have raised my hand to the Lord… I will accept nothing belonging to you… so that you can never say, ‘I made Abram rich.’”.

Mammon is not money alone, but anything that gives a false sense of security apart from God. It is whatever you put your trust in instead of Him. Scripture often interprets mammon as money, yet the Greek has other words for money. Mammon is an Aramaic word meaning “that which is kept safe or secured.” It becomes idolatry when materialism and the illusion of safety are worshipped above God’s storehouse and His provision. For example, when you withhold giving because you fear you do not have enough, that is mammon directing your ways.

So Abram knew who his true source was, He swore that no one but God could claim his prosperity. No get‑rich‑quick scheme by offering up the people; Abram acted in faith according to the promises of God.

📖 Deuteronomy 8:18, “But remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms His covenant, which He swore to your ancestors, as it is today.” The covenant has been made. Wealth is not self‑made; it is granted by God as part of His covenant. Part of this covenant, you were predestined as a son, an heir, and this is a vital revelation; a shift in perception that must take root.

💎 Why This Matters for Us

Jesus makes it clear: you cannot serve both God and mammon. Only one master can rule your life.

It’s time to start using the mind of Christ and the practice given as a tool to mature in sonship. It’s time to understand the Bible spiritually in context and form the right perceptions that allow us to walk according to the Spirit.

Giving is a win-win situation. You cannot lose because God promised you shall inherit the earth. Jesus confirms this with His beatitudes. The prophets said it, the promise to Abram has it built in, and the covenant that can’t be nullified says this. At least 5 scriptures confirm this. 📖 Matthew 5:5, Psalm 37:11, Romans 4:13, Revelation 5:10, Psalm 24:1.

God is a great God, He gives us so many signs to trust Him, even though we don’t see. And this is what separates the two mindset from each other. Carnal mind vs Christ’s mind.

Give now, as the Spirit leads.

The Christ Mind Knows; The Wealth of the World Belongs to God

📖 Haggai 2:8, “The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, declares the Lord of hosts.” 1 Chronicles 29:12,“Both riches and honor come from You, and You rule over all. In Your hand are power and might; and it is in Your hand to make great and to give strength to all.”

💰 When God says the tithe belongs to Him, He is not suggesting the other 90% is yours. He is entrusting you with 100% of His provision 🙌, allowing you to use 90% for your needs and desires, while asking you to set apart at least 10% for His purposes. The tithe or giving is not about God needing your money; it already belongs to Him. It is about your trust, meaning faith and obedience in Him ✝️.

Scripture is clear: 📖 Psalm 24:1, “The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness, the world and those who dwell therein.”  In Exodus 19:5 He confirms, “For all the earth is mine.” 🐂🕊️ Psalm 50:10–11 declares that every beast of the forest and every bird of the mountains belongs to Him. Everything is His.

So consider your life, your body, your time, and your money. How much of it do you allow to belong to God?

🌌 God challenges you to trust Him with at least 10% of everything, and in return, He opens the windows of heaven 🌠, shifting your provision and abundance from natural self‑effort resources to the unlimited spiritual.

📖 Philippians 4:19, “And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” 📖 Ephesians 1:3, “Praise be to God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.” 🙏✨

💎 Why This Matters for Us:

Tithing or giving was never meant to remain a law or obligation; it was always meant to lead to circumcision of the heart. It is the recognition of hearing God’s voice, honouring the Christ in another, and blessing the sanctuary where God dwells, the body of another believer.

Abram chose to act in faith according to God’s promise, which declares that our inheritance is people, nations, and sonship, not riches that perish. Abram did not operate from a lack mentality. He knew God’s heart, and he knew his provision would come from the Lord in overflowing blessing according to the promises, if he looks after the people.

👑 This trains us as sons and daughters to trust God’s voice above circumstances. It stops the destructive outcomes of doubt ✨, and it releases blessings that ripple far beyond what we see.

The Christ Mind Knows; ❤️ Giving is God's love in Action

✨ Leviticus 27:30 declares: “The tithe is holy to the Lord.” It is set apart as an act of obedience and love ❤️.
📖 2 Corinthians 9:7 reminds us: “Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 😊

🙏 In giving, we participate in God’s love being revealed in tangible ways.
🤝 It is a visible sign of love; becoming hope, comfort, sustenance, and support.

Remember, when Jesus ministered, He was led by the Spirit and not by His carnal mind’s perceptions  📖 John 5:9. He asked: “What do you want me to do for you?” (Matthew 20:32) 💬, and He would close with: “The kingdom of God has come near you” (Luke 10:9) 👑.

By setting apart the importance pf giving, we declare that our lives are governed by His love 💖, not by money 💰. This opens the windows of heaven, releasing provision 🌾, anointing 🕊️, and glory ✨ into our lives as the giver.

🌿 Giving anchors us in God’s faithfulness. It shifts our perspective from scarcity to enough for all. From words 🕊️ to love through deeds ❤️, from self to Spirit ✨.

💎 Why This Matters for Us:

Giving helps us live according to the spiritual and not the natural.  It is the place where obedience is decided, where trust is proven, and where God releases overflow.📖 Ephesians 1:3, “Praise be to God the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.”

When your heart is closed, fear rules.
When your heart calculates, reason limits.
But when your heart opens at God’s prompting and you trust, heaven responds.

Give now, as the Spirit leads.

The Christ Mind Knows; ❤️ Giving is Revealing God's Dwelling Place

The promise is not just that needs will be met; it is that blessing will overflow. Not only to the one who receives, but to the one who gives.

Malachi 3:10, God invites us to test His faithfulness: “Bring in all the tithe into the treasure house and there is food in My house; when you have tried Me, now, with this, do I not open the windows of the heavens to you? Indeed, I have emptied on you a blessing till there is no space.

The act of obedience becomes the doorway to releasing abundance. Your heart becomes the channel through which God pours out abundantly. Not just material thing but spiritual blessing as well. Jesus says in John 14:10 It is the Father that dwells in me that does the works. That correctly translates as God in me, through me , as Me.

God Spirit, Christ in us, being able to function through us is the ultimate gift of God. That is the eternal inheritance, the transformation that changes our nature to incorruptible, that unleashes the abundance because Philippians 4:19 in the glory of god all my needs are met.

God Himself says: “Test Me in this.”

The deeper truth is this: the storehouse is also the heart, where Christ lives in you. It is the circumcision of the heart, the cutting away of self‑reliance, and the embrace of newness of life in Christ 🌿

💎 Why This Matters for Us:

When your heart is closed, fear rules.
When your heart calculates, reason limits.
But when your heart opens at God’s prompting and you trust, heaven responds.

The mystery concludes…

The Christ Mind Knows; ❤️ It Has Always Been About Manifesting God on Earth, Through You

🌍 Opening Heaven is a Symbol of Releasing the Christ in you.

Reading the whole of Malachi 3 is a revelation which we will fully explore in a teaching.  But God promises, if we restore our mindset, the curse will turn into a blessing and the turning point is Malachi 3:11, Test is me this, and i will open the windows of heaven …

The spirit of Christ, in Jesus, embodied the open heaven:

  • At His baptism, the heavens open and the Spirit descends (Matthew 3:16). Giving is a participation in that same reality; living under an open heaven where the Spirit flows freely through you.
  • Jesus says, “You will see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man” (John 1:51). This is Jacob’s dream fulfilled in Christ in which God reaffirmed the same promise given to Abraham. And Jacob vows to do as Abram did, giving a tenth of everything. This act, is the ladder, that connects earth and heaven.
  • Revelation 21:3 declares: “The tabernacle of God is with men.” Giving to the house of God, is not giving to mammon but about manifesting God’s dwelling among His people (making heaven visible on earth).
  • Jesus says John 7:38, “Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water'”. This is Christ working through you serving others.

Closing Revelation: ❤️ From Tithe to Spirit-Led Giving

Abraham’s tithe was paid once, to Melchizedek, and Hebrews shows us that we were already included in that act. Christ has fulfilled the priesthood of Melchizedek and now dwells in us. That means the tithe is not something we repeat as law, it has already been credited forward into Christ, and Christ is our inheritance.

What remains is giving, not as transaction, but as sonship. Giving is now the tool by which sons and daughters practice obedience, hear the Father’s voice, and manifest His love in the earth. It is no longer about percentages or institutions, but about Spirit-led recognition: who, where, when, and what the Father directs.

So the journey closes here:
